Fabbity post, Worm! Great memories. I once did the trip in reverse, via train — grand, because you go straight through all the protected reserves (the only mustangs there have four legs and tails).

Great to have you drop by! You are fortunate in your friends indeed. Monterey is beautiful. We saw only a small bit of it, but the lighting and the mix of old and young architecture was quite enchanting.

I am SO glad you didn’t have fog and rain when driving Highway 1. It’s magic without it, and not so pretty with it… Monterey is one of my favourite places — fortunately, we have friends there so don’t have to pay high prices for luxury!
